YUPI LOCKS!

Everybody were really happy and grateful for Yusuke’s kindness towards us. Being a person so close to YUI, you would expect him to be more distant when it comes to interact with fans.

But we were surprised when he showed himself so concerned about our birthday present to YUI.
I was almost completely sure the present got lost after the earthquake’s confussion. Even Hisashi -who even talked about last year’s present in his radio show- wouldn’t reply our messages, so I was about to give up on the subject. But since I have always distrusted Icchy, I had to find a way around him to confirm the present’s whereabouts.

The timing was perfect. Icchy was in Hong Kong making arrangements for the -at that time yet unknown- concert YUI will hold this month over there. And I recalled a contact email in honeybee’s website. I wasn’t sure, but I had the feeling that it would be Yusuke the person in charge of dealing with those emails. So I gave it a try.

The next step wouldn’t had been possible without the help of azmikun and hirotana. Yusuke must have tought: “This gaijin can really speak japanese!” But no. The brightest side of globalism made this possible. When I was sleeping, these guys were translating my messages with Yusuke back and forth. Thank you!

Finally, the present “appeared”, and a couple of days after, YUI was holding our CD in her hands for everyone to see.

After the raffle in aid to Japan, PWRTSM and MrSean won the two copies we put up for the contest, and Panda decided to give his copy to Yusuke in gratitude to his effort.

I don’t remember if it was my idea or someone else’s, but I thought it would be nice if I included a little cartonish portrait along with the CD. So I made this drawing:



And I didn’t sign it, on purpose. I’m still affraid that any kind of info related to me or to YUPI-Locks will automatically be banned from being published. But I’m 100% okay with that.

Gotchi later wrote a letter -again, translated by hirotana- explaining Yusuke the reason of this present to him and also telling him we raised money for Japan.
And the package was sent…

The present “from overseas” that was given to YUI & e.u.Band was given to me too!!

何でもメンバーに無事に届けてくれたお礼の意味を込めて送ってくれたそうです。
I think they wanted to express their gratitude for helping them to deliver the present.

たくさんの方々に支えられていることを改めて実感しています。

This is actually the first time one of my “YUPI style drawings” appear on a YUI related website.
I wonder how far can I push this?
If I put a little www.yupi-locks.com on one corner, would have Yusuke still shown the drawing?

I saw this today and it really surprised me



I read the news everyday to know about the condition of your people. It looks like some locations near the nuclear plant are having a lot of hardships, not to mention the area struck by the tsunami.
This dissaster saddens me in great degree.

I’m sorry that I can’t write in Japanese yet. But to my dear readers in Japan, and specially to my readers in Fukushima and the region of Tohoku,
YUPI loves you.
If I can make you smile, only a little! my job is done.

UPDATES!
* According to Japan Post, the package arrived on March 15th … only 4 days after the big earthquake… Hisashi later posted pictures of how messy was his studio after the incident.



This was posted the 16th. So my biggest fear is that our box ended up in the trash with many other presents… >__<

*April 1st
I sent messages to everyone asking whether they saw the package or not. The only kind enough to reply was Backy:

The truth is that I haven’t received the CD yet…
Maybe it’s becasue we haven’t met with YUI’s manager recently?
But I listened to it completely!
I downloaded it from YUI-Lover website (laughs)
Everybody were splendid!

(April 1st)

Oh well I really wasn’t expecting Backy to tell me that he actually visits YUI-Lover giving me enough reasons to believe that, not only him, but even YUI does visit fucking YUI-lover in her free time!!!!!!!!1 AWESOME!

……. BUT!

He didn’t know we sent a copy to him, even though we saw e.u.Band and YUI meeting for rehearsal one week or so after the earthquake and a second time for a recording (After her birthday) AND a big business meeting with BOSS and everyone else, wich makes me feel like this present is already part of the past… T.T
The only hope I have now is the next time they meet, Backy will remember my message and make a comment about the present.
I just want them to say “Hey! thanks for the present!” I dont need pictures or anything.. cmon! I’m not asking much!

Final Update May 18th

Oh well.. reading the entry, I remember I was feeling really hopeless back then!
But everything went so well that I still cant believe how epic it was.

To put it short. I sent an email to Yuusuke (e.u.Band’s manager) to ask him if he knew something. After telling me he never saw the present, we thought everything was lost. But one day after, he sent a picture of one of our CDs!
The explanation of how he found it was rather strange and I really don’t understant why our present was lying there somewhere without anyone attempting to open it.
My theory is still that Icchy is the bad guy somehow. But at the time I wrote to Yusuke, he was in Hong Kong. Perfect timming.

After that, joy.



Maimai and Kuro-chan posted pictures also.
And about one month later, Backy showed hs copy on a secret live broadcast. Unfortunately nobody recorded it!.
To the date, Hisashi and Arisa never spoke of the subject. But what matter is that YUI is holding our CD in her hand! I never thought we could achieve something like this.

Yusuke received another copy we sent to show our appreciation.

This year, I was very lucky that Gotchi offered me to get some goodies for me.
I just wanted 4th Tour’s keychan so badly!!

Today?!!

It finally arrived.

U jelly?

Hello, It’s new year and everybody is writting new year entries. I don’t want to.. xD

This year I failed at getting a scholarship to study Master in Design in Japan. It was a pretty bad experience lol

But the rest is all good I think? Especially with things involving my own personal projects.

* I finished YUPI LOCKS! Vol.1 and sent 2 copies to Hisashi and one copy to YUI. Never got any replies, but I’m OK with that. YUPI travels is one of the projects that I love the most. Thank you everybody!!!

* YUIkipedia started this year too I think? I trust it will keep growning =. =

* We made Shake My Heart collaboration and YUI played our song in radio. Epic awesome. (Backy sent me a comment about it on twitter. Awesomex2 )

* I started this “We want a LIVE DVD” Campaign at YUI-Lover. Many other communities joined as well, and we spammed YUI-net asking for the long awaited live DVD. Finally, the information was leaked. we are getting the DVD in March.
Was all this campaign the cause? Would we have a DVD even if we didn’t ask for it so eagerly? I guess we’ll never now.

* Finally, I made Rolling Star PV in MikuMikuDance software and became a big success in nico nico douga. I really wasn’t expecting that!

I love those flying comments! A guy even wrote down all the lyrics in there. xD

Yes, my life spins around YUI. How long is that gonna be? time will tell.
I’m really looking forward to make even bigger things this 2011!!

Yes! the collab we made in YUI-Lover made it safely to YUI’s hands. And with it, also did YUPI (whom I secretly slipped inside the CD without telling to anyone, sorry!).

So yeah. I will take this as the ultimate proof that YUI have seen YUPI one way or another.
I sent the manga itself one week before the collab so I have good reasons to believe that YUI received the book as well…right?…RIGHT???

I understand that they may neneneneeever show a picture of YUPI since they wouldn’t want to make free advertising of my blog -Notice the collab is alone, and the reason of this is that we could have used a picture of YUI showing the CD to advetise YUI LOVER- (I think) .
And now after YUI said “YUI LOVER FAN COMMUNITY” ON A NATIONWIDE RADIO BROADCAST LOL I’m sure Mr. Sorny must be raging all over the place.
Aaah I’m so happy we did this MUAHAHAHA I’M LAUGHING IN YOUR FACE!

I’m a (sorta)sceptical person, so it’s hard without empirical evidence, but sometimes you need to chose whether to believe or not on certain things.
Today I chose to belive on this!

Sigh… I planned all this and pulled it out in two weeks so I will take this as a “close to a tie” result ;P

Sorry for the lack of updates u.u Past two weeks I worked on a very special project.
Since they asked to send covers to YUI LOCKS, I thought it would be great to do something together with the members of YUI-Lover community. I really wasn’t expecting more than a simple compilation of nice covers, but things went out of control! (again! xD)
After two weeks we had a song made between 25 people! I think it’s pretty something.
Even more, we have confirmation that Arisa and Backy already listened to the song (thanks to azmi) Altough I sent the links to backy and kurochan it looks like they have decided not to reply my comments for some reason… Anywaysssssssss here is the song!



Lamevil did a very nice work as main vocal!

I decided to send another copy because, altough Hisashi-san told me he would hand to YUI one of the copies I sent, I never got an official confirmation of this fact. And fearing to become an annoyance I decided to stop writting to him.
So my hope is, as sonn as YUI steps into Tokyo FM next week, she will look into the group of letters that fans have sent with Shake My Heart covers. Inside that group, YUPI.
I will not expect anything this time. Just be happy that finnaly she will see it for sure.

Next objective… find a job. x__x kowaii!!!!!!!!

I wanna sell YUPI locks but I have problems setting up a bank account to receive payments.

My life sucks in many stupid ways. :D
